AboutThe Role
Reporting to the Head of Social, the team is looking for a Social Art Director to build Door Dash’s visual identity on social. You’ll help the team bring the brand to life through visual expertise, graphic design, video editing & light motion graphics. The ideal candidate is willing to break systems, hack the feed and think of new ways to put Door Dash top of mind through visual impact.
They thrive in fast‑paced and innovative environments. An appetite for creating jaw‑dropping remarkable content and a desire to push the boundaries are musts.
- Collaborate closely with the team to craft scroll‑stopping visual and motion content that sparks conversation and connection on social. Be a close creative partner to our Sr. Copywriter.
- Maintain visual rigor across all creative from lo‑fi memes to hi‑fi campaign assets.
- Edit and refine static, video, and motion content to maximize impact and shareability on the internet.
- Champion creative experimentation by breaking systems or inventing something entirely original.
- Partner with campaigns and brand teams to infuse social‑first tactics into broader initiatives, ensuring every moment feels authentic, noteworthy, and native to the platform.
- Above all, help Door Dash win the internet.
- 4+ years of relevant content experience brand side or within creative agencies.
- The ability to make & edit culture‑moving content for the feed.
- Develop concepts, storyboards, and visual art direction that enable a “social‑first” strategy.
- A leader on‑set leading creative and ensuring that image and video assets are captured to plan while staying within shoot constraints.
- Responsible for maintaining brand continuity when working with different external partners (photographers, videographers, retouchers, production agencies, motion graphics designers and producers) and cross‑functional teams.
- A test‑and‑learn mindset.
- A strong sense of organic social’s place in campaigns.
- A track record of partnering with creative teams to help create owned social‑first moments.
- A desire to collaborate with creative teams and brand strategy.
- A deep passion for culture, the internet and creation.
The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job‑related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market‑dependent and may be modified in the future. In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants.
