As the Events Program Manager, you will be the driving force behind Blue Origin’s internal events, creating engaging and seamless experiences that connect our team to our mission. You will serve as the primary Technical Director and executive producer for our most critical productions, leading them from creative concept through flawless execution. This role masterfully blends strategic event planning with hands‑on technical direction.
You will be the Engineer in Charge for our events program, responsible for the end‑to‑end management of all‑hands meetings, executive briefings, and special broadcasts. You will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure their vision is technically achievable, lead production teams, and operate complex AV systems. Your primary goal is to deliver memorable and high‑impact events that inform, inspire, and unite our organization through innovative and polished productions.
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of all internal events, drafting and maintaining critical documentation such as run‑of‑show documents, work‑back plans, and operational guides.
- Partner with internal clients (leadership, HR, engineering) to define event goals and messaging, acting as the technical consultant to ensure objectives are achievable and executed to the highest standard.
- Serve as Engineer in Charge for live and hybrid events, leading technical rehearsals and directing the live broadcast, including real‑time vision/camera switching, FOH audio mixing (A1/A2), graphics integration, and livestream management.
- Coordinate with presenters to prepare content, conduct technical rehearsals, and provide coaching for on‑camera presence.
- Provide post‑production services for major events, including multi‑track recording and editing, and maintain the internal Video‑on‑Demand (VOD) library in accordance with content retention policies.
- Ensure all event spaces and production systems are maintained, configured, and ready for high‑stakes events, providing expert‑level troubleshooting to resolve live‑environment technical issues.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend new AV and production technologies to enhance event capabilities and improve audience experience.
- Conduct training sessions for team members and event operators, fostering a collaborative, team‑first mentality.
- Manage AV vendor relationships and lead AV integration for new facility build‑outs or space improvements, from design through implementation.
- 5+ years of direct experience producing and technically directing large‑scale, high‑impact corporate events.
- Strong, hands‑on knowledge of live production technology, including live streaming software (Wirecast, OBS), live video switchers (Ross Carbonite, Blackmagic, Tricaster), and professional digital audio mixers and ecosystems such as Q‑SYS and Dante.
- Expertise with modern streaming and video transport protocols (NDI, Dante, SRT, HLS, RTMPS, WebRTC).
- Solid experience with video editing software such as DaVinci Resolve or Adobe Premiere.
- Experience leading the technical design and setup for AV in event spaces.
- Proven ability with enterprise video collaboration platforms including Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Webex.
- Exceptional troubleshooting skills with the ability to calmly and quickly resolve technical issues in high‑pressure, live broadcast environments.
- Ad‐apt at translating a creative or business vision into technical event requirements and executing it flawlessly.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
