Description

Location: Hybrid, Seattle, WA (on-site 2 to 3 days per week)

Note: This position is part of COLOR’s staffing program. You’ll work full-time on a client engagement while being employed by COLOR. We’re looking to fill this role as soon as possible.
About the RoleWe’re looking for a Senior Motion Designer to join the in‑house global video team of a leading enterprise technology company. You’ll both design and animate, turning written scripts into style frames and storyboards, then bringing them to life with polished 2D motion, vector‑based graphics, and icon‑driven animation that explains complex ideas clearly. Compositing skills are a big plus, and the ability to handle basic video edits is a real bonus.
You’ll report to the team’s Executive Producer and work independently day to day, while collaborating closely with producers, editors, and designers. This isn’t a management role, but you’ll provide light oversight and guidance to more junior motion designers on the team. It’s a great fit for a motion designer who brings strong design instincts, takes pride in craft, and looks for ways to make the work better than the brief.
Environment / Culture
You’ll join a collaborative in‑house video team producing content for a global audience of customers, partners, and employees. This is a hybrid role: you’ll work on‑site at the team’s Seattle studio 2 to 3 days per week and remotely the rest of the week, during Pacific Time business hours. The schedule mostly follows business hours, with occasional extended days around major launches and company events.
This is a desk‑based role.

- Respond to feedback quickly and constructively, iterating efficiently through review rounds

- A strong reel and portfolio showing both design and animation, with an emphasis on 2D motion, vector graphics, and icon‑based work
- Expert proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop
- Strong design fundamentals in typography, layout, color, and composition
- Compositing experience in After Effects, such as keying, tracking, rotoscoping, and integrating graphics with live‑action footage
- Experience developing style…
