Position: Design Coordinator (Data Center/Aerospace)

Join the HDR team as a Design Coordinator (Data Center/Aerospace) in Seattle, Washington.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary design teams, clients, and contractors across the United States on technology and data center projects.
  • Lead design and process management through all phases of the architectural process.
  • Develop concept, schematic, design development, and construction documentation.
  • Conduct site and program analysis, evaluate project site and environmental factors.
  • Prepare architectural designs and construction documents, coordinate with consultant drawings and models.
  • Identify and review relevant code and zoning requirements.
  • Build models using Revit and Rhino.
  • Communicate conflicts, issues, and develop solutions with the design team.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience designing and documenting data centers, industrial buildings, medical facilities, or similar projects requiring extensive interdisciplinary coordination.
  • Demonstrated graphic presentation skills and proficiency with PDF editing software.
  • LEED accreditation or strong interest in sustainable design.
  • Master’s degree in Architecture and at least 2 years of professional internship experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience on similar project typologies.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a closely related field.
  • Will possess credentials to obtain future registration.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project).
  • Desire to pursue growth opportunities and eventually obtain registration.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and familiarity with related tools and processes.
  • Demonstrated graphic presentation skills.
  • Commitment to active participation in HDR’s employee‑owned culture.
