Optometric Physician – Northwest Eye Surgeons

Job Type: Full-time

Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate, motivated Optometrist to join our patient‑centered, team‑oriented practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an OD who thrives in a surgical referral setting and enjoys caring for cataract and glaucoma patients throughout their treatment journey.

In this role, you’ll provide high‑quality diagnostic evaluations, patient education, and pre/post‑operative management while co‑managing care with fellowship‑trained ophthalmologists. You’ll also help cultivate strong relationships with our referring providers—an important part of our collaborative care model.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive medical eye exams and advanced diagnostic testing
  • Educate patients on diagnoses, treatment plans, and long‑term care
  • Provide pre‑ and post‑operative care for cataract and glaucoma patients
  • Collaborate with highly skilled optometrists and ophthalmologists
  • Maintain communication with referring optometrists and community providers
  • Complete accurate, timely EMR documentation

    Participate in CE and training opportunities
  • Perform additional duties as needed

Qualifications
  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) from an accredited program
  • Active Washington State optometry license (or ability to obtain)
  • Experience or strong interest in cataract/glaucoma co‑management

Salary: $124,472 – $200,000
