Description

Integrative Foot & Ankle is part of Balance Health, the nation’s premier comprehensive lower-extremity focused Physician Practice. We are seeking to hire a Podiatrist for our practice in the greater Seattle, Washington area. Under the direction of the CMO, the Podiatrist provides routine and referral podiatric services to patients.

Balance Health provides leading podiatrists, orthopedic surgeons, and physical therapists with operational support so they can spend their time focused on growing their business and delivering exceptional patient care.

Requirements

Essential Functions:

  • Examine patients’ legs and feet to diagnose diseases
  • Treat bone, muscle, and joint disorders affecting the feet and ankles
  • Perform procedures as necessary along with wound care management
  • Diagnose diseases and deformities of the foot and ankle using medical histories, physical examinations, x-rays, and laboratory test results
  • Prescribe medications, corrective devices, physical therapy, or surgery
  • Advise patients about treatments and foot and ankle care techniques necessary for prevention of future problems
  • Provide education/consultation to patients, family, and health care team
  • Provide health promotion and preventive medicine
  • Appropriately maintains medical records on assigned patients
QUALIFICATIONS: [Education, Training, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Expected Behaviors]

Required

  • Doctoral degree in Podiatric Medicine from an Accredited School of Podiatry
  • Board certification through the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery
  • Ability to observe, assess and record symptoms, reactions, and progress
  • Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care
  • Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities
  • Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
  • Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills that allow effective working relationships with diverse patient, colleague, and vendor populations
  • PC Proficient with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook and EMR database
  • Ability to provide legal proof of eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
  • Ability to successfully pass an in-depth background investigation, including clean DMV report and pre-employment drug screen.


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to sit and/or stand for several hours at a time.
  • Ability to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
  • Must be able to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues.
  • Ability to use hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information.

Compensation / Benefits

  • Competitive physician salary program with a base of range of $150K - $175K) +comp. plan depending on experience level
  • Benefit eligibility for FT employees working 30+ hours weekly begins first of the month following 30 days of employment.
