Essential Functions

North Seattle College is looking to hire a Business Technology Management instructor in the Workforce Department.

Position Summary

Business Technology Management is an interdisciplinary program administered under the Workforce Instruction division at North Seattle College. It combines business, applied IT, management, and communication skills to manage and automate information flows within and across organizations, emphasizing project‑based learning. Program foundations include business cloud computing, data analytics, digital marketing, entrepreneurship, customer relationship management, and supervision.

Responsibilities
  • Teach one or more college‑level Business Technology Management courses, which may include but are not limited to:
    Business Productivity Applications, Data Analysis and Visualization, Cloud Computing, Business and Marketing Communications, Artificial Intelligence Tools.
  • Work with students, colleagues, and staff in a culturally diverse urban environment.
  • Teach in various formats, including in‑person, hybrid, and online at different times (day and evening) as needed.
  • Adhere to collective bargaining agreement represented by AFT‑Seattle.
  • Schedule typically Monday‑Friday 8:00 AM‑5:00 PM, with the possibility of evenings and weekends; hybrid schedule of remote and on‑site work.
Salary Range

Part‑time faculty salary range: $7,110.33 – $10,649.33 (P1: A1‑E7).

What You Bring as a Candidate
  • Master’s Degree in Business or related fields (e.g., Economics, Accounting, Marketing, Project Management).
  • Experience teaching business or business‑related coursework to adult learners.
  • Proficiency with current technology tools used in business operations.
  • Demonstrated commitment to serving diverse student populations.
  • Strong collaboration skills in professional settings.
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems, e.g., Canvas.
