This range is provided by City of Auburn (Washington). Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience. Base pay: $92,119.68/yr - $/yr.

OverviewThe City of Auburn Parks, Arts, & Recreation Department is seeking a talented Recreation Program Coordinator. This position performs professional and administrative work in the development and oversight of community recreation programming. It requires organizational and leadership skills to develop, implement, and coordinate programs and activities for youth, teens, and adults in the community.
Primary Duties- Plan, schedule, organize, facilitate, coordinate, and evaluate a variety of community fitness, athletics, STEAM, and wellness programs for youth, teens, and adults; secure all necessary staff and supplies for assigned programs.
- Coordinate with other Recreation Coordinators in the delivery of community fitness, Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM), and wellness programs.
- Encourage and work with community organizations, clubs, and agencies to obtain services, programs, and support for youth programs and activities.
- Deal tactfully and courteously with the public, coworkers, and other City employees, occasionally in difficult customer service situations.
- Conduct a variety of community meetings involving youth and adults.
- Bachelor's Degree in recreation, or related field.
- Two years of work experience coordinating and organizing recreational programs and activities.
- OR a combination of education, experience, and training that indicates the ability to successfully complete the essential elements of the job listed above.
- Valid state driver’s license, without impending loss at time of appointment.
- Possess, or have the ability to obtain, a CPR and First Aid certificate within three months of appointment.
