- Teach Project Time: 90‑minute blocks in high school or four 55‑minute blocks in middle school per day, delivering deep learning experiences that develop cognitive skills and apply content knowledge to real‑world situations.
- Mentor Time:
Build deep relationships with small mentor groups each day, coaching students toward personal goals and checking in one‑on‑one. - Self‑Directed Learning & Interventions:
Facilitate daily literacy or math interventions, support student progress, and monitor outcomes. - Collaboration & Professional Development:
Participate in all‑faculty after‑school meetings, grade‑level or subject‑level communities of practice, and continuous improvement coaching with school leaders. - Data‑Driven Planning:
Analyze student data to inform lesson plans, supports, and individual student needs.
- Commitment to uphold Summit’s values and ensure all students receive a rigorous, equitable education.
- Strong commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB), embedding these values into daily practice.
- Teaching credential in California or another U.S. state.
- Bachelor’s degree (Master’s in Education preferred, not required).
- Clear health and background check.
- Teaching experience in your subject area preferred, but not required.

In addition to a highly motivated team and meaningful work, you’ll receive a comprehensive benefits package, including a retirement plan, 12 paid holidays, and three weeks of organization‑wide closures per year. Our compensation policy strives for equity and transparency.
The salary for this position starts at $63,718 and can rise to $99,987, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
