Job Summary:

Supports the development and delivery of the YGS Youth, Family, and Community Services plan by assisting in the design, implementation, and evaluation of programs that meet emerging community needs. Working closely with YMCA staff across multiple locations, the position helps pilot new service offerings and ensures program quality and consistency through regular on-site visits and adherence to YMCA best practices.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 21 years of age or older.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Three (3) years or more of experience working in youth development programs.
  • One (1) year or more of supervisory experience in a youth development program.
  • Strong customer service skills, responding to multiple questions by phone, email, and in person. Ability to problem solve and resolve conflict.
  • Strong computer skills and experience working with word processing, spreadsheet, and database software.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and confidentiality of evaluative information.
  • Knowledge of standard office equipment such as copiers and phone systems.
  • Current state-approved first-aid certification.*
  • Current state-approved infant/child (or community if school-aged) CPR certification.*

* At hire, or earliest possible training (but no later than 90 days after employment).

Preferred Qualifications
  • College degree. Other applicable education, training, and experience, which provide the knowledge, abilities, and skills necessary to perform effectively in the position will be considered.
  • One (1) year or more of demonstrated experience in program development and implementation.
  • Prior experience in training coordination and implementation
  • Knowledge of and previous experience with diverse populations (language, culture, race, physical ability, sexual orientation, etc.).
  • Ability to speak any language in addition to English may be helpful.
  • Other combinations of applicable education, training, and experience which provide the knowledge, abilities, and skills necessary to perform effectively in the position may be considered.
