St. Joseph Catholic School is dedicated to nurturing students in faith, academics, and character. We are seeking a motivated, organized, and caring individual to lead our Extended Care Program, providing a safe, engaging, and fun environment for students before and after school.

Position Summary

The Extended Care Coordinator oversees the school’s recess and extended care programs, ensuring a high‑quality experience for students. While this role is designed as a full‑time position (10:00 AM–6:00 PM), a part‑time schedule (1:00 PM–6:00 PM) may be considered for candidates who prefer to focus solely on the after‑school Extended Care Program and not recess supervision. The Coordinator supervises staff, manages enrollment and billing, communicates with families, and ensures the program operates smoothly and safely each day.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise students during recess (10:00 AM–1:00 PM) and extended care (1:00–6:00 PM) if in the full‑time role.
  • Lead, schedule, and support Extended Care Aides.
  • Manage student enrollment, attendance records, and billing for extended care.
  • Develop age‑appropriate activities and programming for students.
  • Enforce safety, behavioral, and security protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and school leadership.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for all children.
Qualifications
  • Experience working with children in school or childcare settings.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of child development principles and safety practices.
  • Commitment to supporting the Catholic mission and values of the school.

Compensation & Benefits

This position will be compensated at an hourly rate of $18–20 per hour. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications.
