St. Therese Catholic Academy (STCA) is a Preschool-8th grade Catholic elementary school in the heart of the Madrona neighborhood of Seattle, just 2 miles east of downtown. The school currently serves 150 students ages 3-14, 35% of whom receive free/reduced lunch. Families come from over 34 zip codes and over 60% receive tuition assistance.

As a 5th grade homeroom teacher, you will plan and deliver instruction in math, literacy, language arts & writing, science, social studies, and religion. You will collaborate with peers through PLC planning, share resources, and adapt lessons for students of varying ability levels.

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (Master’s preferred)
• Understanding and genuine appreciation of children
• Desire to work in a racially and economically diverse, faith-centered community
• Ability to utilize educational technology in the classroom
• Preferred active Catholic
• Current Washington (or out of state) teaching certificate, or ability to obtain one, with a K-5 (minimum) endorsement

Salary: $37,000 - $60,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
