Alpha School is seeking an educator prepared to transform early childhood learning. This role extends beyond traditional teaching—you will serve as a facilitator and coach for Kindergarten through 2nd-grade students, guiding them to explore their educational journeys with curiosity and determination.

Our approach at Alpha challenges conventional educational models through the 2-Hour Learning program, which incorporates AI-powered adaptive technology to deliver individualized instruction. Students interact with advanced software while receiving critical in-person support for reading and writing development, guided by professionals trained in evidence-based educational methods. This integrated model ensures that our youngest students progress academically while building essential social and emotional competencies under your leadership.

Alpha offers more than a teaching position—it provides a pathway for career advancement. You will receive competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for professional development within an innovative, technology-enhanced educational setting. If you are committed to reshaping educational practices and skilled at forming authentic relationships with young students, we invite you to join our team.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Guiding students to establish and pursue individual learning objectives, cultivating their capacity for self-directed education.
  • Delivering focused instruction in social-emotional development and early literacy, working alongside Reading Specialists.
  • Creating a classroom atmosphere that promotes curiosity and perseverance through engaging, experiential learning activities.
  • Integrating AI-powered educational tools to strengthen learning outcomes, equipping students for a technology-enhanced educational landscape.
  • Working collaboratively with educators and counselors to address each student's distinct developmental trajectory, responding flexibly to diverse learning preferences and requirements.
What You Won’t Be Doing
  • Depending exclusively on conventional teaching practices without incorporating advanced educational technology.
  • Applying uniform instructional strategies—individual learning differences are recognized and cultivated here.
  • Prioritizing academic content at the expense of social and emotional growth.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the cultivation of autonomous learning capabilities and essential life skills for Kindergarten through 2nd-grade students, establishing foundations for both academic achievement and personal development.
Basic Requirements
  • Available to work on-site at one of our locations:
    Austin, TX;
    Fort Worth, TX;

  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years working with children ages 4–8 years old in educational, after school, sports, or comparable environments.
  • Demonstrated capability to apply growth mindset principles and high-performance coaching techniques.
  • Enthusiastic about leveraging AI and other technologies in educational contexts.
  • Authorized to work in the US without requiring visa sponsorship.
Nice-to-Have Requirements
  • Degree or credential in early childhood education, child development, reading intervention, or related disciplines.
  • Specialized certifications in early learning approaches such as CDA, Montessori, or Reggio Emilia.
