This opportunity offers a rewarding contract position as a Special Education Teacher in an elementary school setting in Seattle, WA. You will contribute your expertise to support students requiring specialized educational services, helping to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Responsibilities include managing a caseload averaging 22.5 hours per week, working Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Notably, Wednesdays are reserved for planning, IEP meetings, and professional development, allowing time to focus on individual student needs and collaborative efforts with the educational team. This role requires onsite commitment and the contract runs through June 17, 2026.
Key qualifications and experience:
- Current Washington state teaching license in Special Education is mandatory
- Preferably preschool experience; however, candidates with Kindergarten to 2nd-grade elementary experience will also be strongly considered
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and engage with students, families, and staff to promote student achievement and growth
