Refugee Women's Alliance (ReWA) is seeking an SPP Lead Teacher to lead a Seattle Preschool Program classroom at our Northaven Early Learning Center in Seattle, WA. This role leads classroom instruction, curriculum planning, child assessment, family engagement, and implementation of Seattle Preschool Program (SPP) and DEEL requirements while supporting multilingual development, dual language learning, and belonging.

- Pay:$32-$42 per hour (salary classification may apply at higher compensation levels based on Washington State requirements), depending on verified education, qualifications, and relevant experience

Placement within the range is based on verified education and relevant qualified experience after confirming the candidate meets SPP qualification requirements. Applicable credentials, such as P-3/Washington teaching credentials and approved Dual Language Initiative credentials, may also be considered when determining pay placement. - Benefits:

You value family partnership, culturally and linguistically responsive teaching, and shared leadership with classroom and program colleagues.
Qualifications:Required
- Meet the current DEEL/MERIT qualification requirements for an SPP Lead Teacher
- Generally, this includes a BA in Early Childhood Education or another bachelor's degree with the required ECE coursework under the current SPP standard
- Ability to meet applicable Washington State child care licensing, background check, health and safety, and SPP requirements
- Experience planning and implementing developmentally appropriate preschool curriculum and learning experiences
- Previous Seattle Preschool Program (SPP) experience preferred but not required. Candidates who meet or are eligible to meet current SPP qualification requirements are encouraged to apply
- Experience with Teaching Strategies GOLD and other child assessment tools
- Experience with preschool curriculum, child assessment, and classroom documentation
- Experience with culturally and linguistically responsive teaching practices and supporting dual language learning
- Experience working with diverse children and families
- Bilingual or multilingual proficiency
- P-3 or Washington teaching credentials and/or approved Dual Language Initiative credentials
- Strong classroom leadership and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- A collaborative, team-oriented mindset
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive practices
- Lead the daily operation and instruction of an SPP preschool classroom
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate, culturally responsive curriculum and learning experiences
