The Department of Applied Mathematics at the University of Washington invites applications for a small number of Pearson Fellow positions with an anticipated start date of September 16, 2027.
Pearson Fellows are hired as Acting Instructors and have a reduced teaching load. We seek applicants who demonstrate commitment to excellence in research, teaching, and service in a diverse and inclusive academic community. The successful candidate will join us on a full-time basis for a nine-month academic, 1 year, renewable appointment beginning September 16, 2027.

Applicants for this instructional faculty position must meet the following minimum qualifications:
- Applicants should hold a PhD, or foreign equivalent, in (applied) mathematics or a related field by the start of the appointment.
- Applicants must demonstrate a strong record of research in a relevant area of applied mathematics and demonstrate excellence in teaching.
