At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We’re working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight! This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond.

Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable.

This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration heavy-lift launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to Earth’s orbit and beyond. Engineered with a reusable first stage and a seven-meter payload fairing, New Glenn is building the road to space.

Our hardworking, collaborative team is looking for a Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analyst to support the development and delivery of a New Glenn upper stage. Applicant must be experienced in in compressible flow modelling through componentry with multiple restrictions as well as plume modelling into a vacuum. Role will include modelling these types of systems as well as other fluid flow applications including compressible, in compressible, and mixed phase flow.

This analyst will be expected to own their analyses while working collaboratively with a team of high end designers, drafters, and other analysts. The analytical results will guide design decisions and will be used for verification of component and system level designs for vehicle certification.

Applicant should be familiar with CFD Techologies' Pointwise meshing software, and preferably familiar with Metacomp CFD++ software for solving and ANSYS EnSight software for post-processing.

Passion for our mission and vision is required!

This job requisition is for a Level II analyst, but applicants with higher levels of experience are encouraged to apply.
