$80,000.00/yr - $/yr

Job Description

The New Product Development Manager is a member of the Engineering Team and leads the process of identifying, planning, and launching new products that align with RAM Mounts’ strategic goals. This role partners with engineering, sales, marketing, and customers to translate market needs into commercially viable products.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Key Accounts to identify and validate new product opportunities.
  • Organize multiple projects and timelines using project management software.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, sales, marketing, production, operations, and procurement to successfully develop and launch new products.
  • Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies, advising leadership on new products.
  • Communicate directly with both customers and Account Managers to gather requirements for new products and work with Engineering and Production to define project scope and expectations.
  • Work directly with the engineering team to review products in the development, prototype, and tooled sample phases for design requirements.
  • Manage the regulatory certification process for new products.
  • Monitor project status, maintain documentation, track milestones, and proactively communicate updates to team members and customers.
  • Hold the project team accountable by providing direction and support throughout the project.
  • Review sales information and propose new products for development.
  • Present new products in development to internal stakeholders – showcase product features, review timelines, review potential issues and answer questions about function.
  • Proactively identify issues throughout the product development process, propose solutions for process improvement and effectively implement solutions as needed.
Skills and Specifications
  • Able to hold others inside and outside of our organization accountable
  • Able to quickly learn and understand technical information and industry terminology
  • Able to work in fast‑paced, self‑directed entrepreneurial environment
  • Proficient in project management software such as MS Projects, Smartsheets, Jira, or Wrike.
  • Prominent organization and presentation skills
  • Self‑starter, with time management skills
Education and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field preferred
  • 3‑5 years project management experience, technical project management preferred
Salary Range

$80,000-$120,000
