Project Scheduler
At JH Kelly
, we’re looking for a driven Project Scheduler to support our construction operation with professional-level scheduling expertise. If you live and breathe Primavera P6, understand resource‑constrained CPM scheduling, and thrive on the human interaction of sitting shoulder‑to‑shoulder with field leaders to build their plan — not yours, this may be the right opportunity for you.
Celebrating over a century of excellence, JH Kelly is a fourth‑generation, family‑owned construction powerhouse with a legacy of tackling complex commercial and heavy industrial projects. With offices in Vancouver, Longview, Seattle, Bellingham, WA, and Milwaukie, OR, we’re an industry leader fueled by an award‑winning team known for safety, quality, and a tight‑knit, dynamic culture. Who We’re Looking ForWe are looking for someone who takes pride in translating field‑driven planning into clear, data‑rich, logic‑based schedules and driving meaningful conversations that improve project outcomes.
You’ll need both technical depth in scheduling principles and emotional intelligence to guide conversations with Superintendents, PMs, and Engineers. This is a role for someone who understands that people build schedules, not just software. You’re a great listener, thriving on servant leadership and supporting others. You’re strong on accountability, staying organized, and delivering on time. Our MEP operations span fast‑paced semiconductor, data center, and commercial projects in Boise, with this role based in our Boise Operations.
WhatYou’ll Do
As a Project Scheduler, you will be responsible for facilitating the development and maintenance of project schedules that are technically sound, resource aware, and directly reflect the input and intent of project leadership. This role plays a critical part in driving performance transparency across scheduling, production, and forecasting. This is not solely a desk role, and you will be required to get out and interact with the project supervision and management, not only facilitating the conversations to extract the plan from our supervisors, but also walking and discussing the project with them to fully grasp the sequence of work steps of modular construction.
Pay Range: $30‑$52 per hour (DOE), FLSA non‑exempt (OT eligible).
Here’s a deeper dive into what you’ll take on:
- Schedule Development & Maintenance

- Incorporate activity logic, resource constraints, float paths, and work calendars accurately and consistently.
- Maintain data hygiene across schedule files, ensuring reliability of reporting.
- Team Coordination & Facilitation
- Lead schedule review meetings with Project Managers, Superintendents, Project Engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Actively listen and document input—building the team’s plan, not the scheduler’s plan.
- Ensure all updates and logic adjustments reflect the real‑world strategy of the project.
- Reporting & Integration
- Generate look‑aheads, variance reports, and critical path analyses to support project reviews.
- Assist with schedule integration across pull plans, work packages, and productivity curves.
- Collaborate with project controls and cost engineers to align scheduling data with earned value and forecasting metrics.
- Team Collaboration & Culture
- Build strong working relationships with foremen, field leadership, project engineers, and PMs.
- Earn trust through performance and contribute to a positive, high‑trust project culture.
- Show up as a calm, consistent, and capable technical partner on site.
- Experience: 5+ years in construction scheduling, project controls, or related roles, with expertise in Primavera P6—able to create, modify, and analyze complex schedules with ease. Experience with large‑scale semiconductor, industrial, or commercial construction projects preferred.
- Skills: Effective verbal and written communication, strong interpersonal skills, and proven ability to lead meetings and translate input into actionable plans. Proficiency with pull planning, lean scheduling methods, and…
