Structural Design Technician

At Jacobs, we’re committed to reinventing tomorrow by solving the world's most critical problems. We’re looking for a driven, curious Structural Design Technician to lead and support our Built Environment team.

• Develop design concepts, create models from scratch, and coordinate designs to consider existing conditions and other disciplines.
• Convey structural requirements to the construction team through 2D paper deliverables and/or BIM 3D Revit models.
• Provide leadership for a small project with a team of designers; establish project standards, procedures, training, and develop team morale.
• Collaborate closely with clients and construction trade partners to deliver award-winning planning, engineering, architectural design, construction management, and design-build project delivery.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 5 years drafting/design experience in the structural field.
• At least 1 year of Revit experience.
• At least 3 years AutoCAD design experience.

• At least 2 years of Revit experience.
• Experience working on traditional steel and concrete structures.
• Experience leading a team of designers.
• Experience with healthcare/institutional/commercial buildings.
• Experience with Navisworks and Bluebeam.

Base salary range: $61,100 to $84,000 per year, with hourly pay based on hours worked and location-based adjustments.
