We are seeking an entry‑level Civil Engineer with expertise and practical experience in geotechnical engineering or engineering geology to support our growing Seattle/Portland offices. We look for candidates with attention to detail, passion for self‑development, and a desire to be part of a strong multidisciplinary team.
Job Responsibilities- Perform geotechnical analyses for foundations, retaining walls, shoring systems, slope stability, and pavement design to support dams, transportation, and tunneling projects.
- Prepare reports that clearly document, support, and communicate all aspects of work completed.
- Log test borings and test pits.
- Observe geotechnical‑related construction and prepare daily observation reports.
- Prepare design calculations and drawings (sketches) using AutoCAD and Micro Station and provide design support during construction.
- Support the preparation of proposals.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET‑accredited program (or Engineering Geology).
- 0‑2 years of professional experience.
- EIT certification or the ability to obtain one within 1 year of hire.
- Effective time‑management, written and oral communication, analytical, interpersonal skills, and ability to balance multiple concurrent tasks.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Willingness and ability to perform field work and travel, including assignments lasting days to months away from the office.
- Ability to lift 60 pounds and negotiate construction sites, enter trenches, climb ladders, and work outdoors.
- Master’s degree in geotechnical engineering, engineering geology, or related field.
- Prior internship or professional work in related field (e.g., geotechnical engineering, engineering geology).
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Compensation range: $57,200 to $86,000, varying by geographic location and other factors. We remain committed to providing competitive and equitable compensation to all employees.
