Design Engineer – Responsibilities

We’re looking for a Design Engineer responsible for the layout, design, and coordination of assigned projects while ensuring high‑quality, accurate, and timely deliverables. This role supports ongoing engineering documentation, design development, and quality control efforts. The Design Engineer works collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to deliver coordinated mechanical designs and construction documents aligned with company standards.

  • Deliver exceptional designs – Produce fully coordinated, accurate HVAC and plumbing system designs that meet project requirements, codes, and quality standards.
  • Manage projects from start to finish – Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring schedules, budgets, and performance goals are consistently achieved.
  • Lead with accountability – Coordinate project workflows, delegate tasks effectively, and guide team members to deliver on time and with precision.
  • Collaborate across disciplines – Work closely with architects, engineers, project managers, and field teams to ensure design intent aligns seamlessly with construction execution.
  • Produce clear, high‑quality documentation – Create and maintain detailed calculations, reports, and design drawings using Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam Revu.
  • Invest in others – Mentor and train team members to strengthen technical expertise, uphold company standards, and support professional growth.
  • Champion innovation – Drive process improvements and introduce new technologies that enhance design efficiency and project delivery.
Background & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (preferred).
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license (strongly preferred).
  • Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam Revu (required).
  • Experience in the construction or building systems industry (preferred).
