Field Engineer

Summary

This position is a part of our Project Management Team for our various jobsite locations throughout the region. Engineers provide onsite engineering and technical support, quality control, construction management assistance, land surveys, and help maintain a safe working environment. Travel may be extensive. • Development of project work element plans and JSAs
• Coordinate project definable features of work with Manson superintendents, foremen, craft workers, and subcontractors
• Computer Aided Drafting for analysis of lift equipment capabilities and depiction of work method sequencing
• Critical path scheduling and 3 week look ahead scheduling
• Review designs, drawings, and engineering data prepared by Manson consultants and vendors for conformance with project plans and specifications, and identify associated conflicts
• Investigation and research for needed permanent and consumable material items, equipment, and tools
• Inspection of newly delivered permanent materials for conformance with project requirements
• Coordinate project activities with the client’s representatives and other project stakeholders
• Falsework Design
• Monitor of Manson and its subcontractors’ operations
• Daily operations and quality control reporting
• Project photographic records
• General project support
• Ensures compliance with Manson’s Code of Ethics and Standards of Business Conduct
• Responsible for practicing safe work standards and promoting an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) work environment as a condition of employment
• Additional duties may be assigned.

• May directly supervise engineering interns.

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, construction management, or related field.
• 0‑4 years construction or engineering experience, heavy civil or marine construction, preferred
• Experience with scheduling, estimating, and project management software – HCSS & Primavera, preferred
