Integrated Construction Manager

Mortenson is currently seeking an experienced Integrated Construction Manager to join our Data Center Group to implement and oversee Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) processes throughout the phases of a project. Strong communication skills are necessary as you will be interacting with staff at all levels in an ever‑changing environment. Your ability to remain flexible, inventive, dedicated, and efficient with a high level of integrity and confidentiality is vital to your success in this role.

The position is responsible for facilitating and managing project collaboration and integrated delivery activities for construction teams.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, implement, and oversee VDC processes through appropriate technology platforms
  • Provide supervision and oversight of the integrated construction team
  • Contribute meaningful input toward improving the project and group’s ability to capture and deploy lessons learned and best practices, and further develop the group’s VDC Playbook
  • Coordinate with project leadership, design team members, and preconstruction services (e.g., estimating, scheduling, project planning, constructability, site utilization)
  • Oversee the production and management of 3D and 4D models
  • Establish scope of work, schedule, and deliverables for integrated delivery services
  • Oversee construction coordination and communicate model‑generated information to the project team
  • Capture, manage, and communicate reality capture data and status visualizations
  • Implement 3D technology during construction
  • Participate in research and development of new technologies
  • Lead or be involved in internal training
  • Develop, modify, and update project BIM to support our self‑performed scope of work or fill gaps in modelling scope necessary for 3D coordination
  • Attend, participate, and present at internal and external BIM/VDC conferences and meetings
  • Manage others and lead leadership functions within the group and the larger Mortenson IDAT community
  • Provide support to the group and program beyond the current physical and geographic location
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
  • Minimum eight years of progressively challenging construction management experience, or equivalent combining education and experience
  • Current driver’s license
  • Experience managing and leading a dynamic team
  • Licensure in a professional field preferred
  • High competency with advanced software (2D, 3D, and 4D)
  • Proficiency with Autodesk Building Design Systems (Revit, Civil 3D, 3ds Max, Navisworks)
  • Experience with Revizto, Synchro, Enscape, ArcGIS, Drone Deploy
  • Rendering and animation experience a plus
  • Part 107 license a plus prior to joining, but essential to acquire early to support program’s reality capture requirements
  • Must be on the project site full‑time

The base pay range for this role is $104,600–$156,900. The actual range is higher for selected office locations (Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – +5%; Seattle, WA, Portland, OR – +10%; Washington, D.C. – +12.5%). Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.

Visa sponsorship is not offered for this position. Must be currently legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B, 0‑1, TN, CPT, OPT, etc.).
