Controls Engineer

Looking for a Controls Engineer for large cutting edge Robotics Program!

Join a dynamic team focused on the development and implementation of cutting‑edge robotic automation systems. You will coordinate with engineering teams to create, test, and debug PLC code using Code Sys and other IEC‑3 standard programming languages.

Your role will involve developing automation programs, integrating machine I/O devices, and ensuring synchronized motion execution with Ether

CAT networked servo drives.

• Coordinate with controls, hardware, and software engineering teams in developing PLC code for robotic automation systems.

• Develop automation programs using Code Sys, primarily in Structured Text, supporting other IEC‑3 standard programming languages.

• Integrate Ether
  
  CAT networked servo drives for multi‑axis systems using Code Sys.

• Integrate machine I/O devices with Code Sys, including fieldbus devices like Ether
  
  CAT, Ethernet/IP, and IOLink.

• Develop HMI applications utilizing Code Sys HMI features and Allen‑Bradley Panel View.

• Create Functional Safety PLC applications using Bosch Rexroth CtrlX Safety controllers.

• Apply industry best practices in PLC program development, such as variable definition, object‑oriented programming, and avoiding race conditions.

• Test and integrate PLC control systems with external software applications via UDP and TCP communications or protocols.

• Proficiency in PLC programming and automation using Code Sys. Beckhoff is also accepted.

• Experience with Structured Text programming language.

• Strong knowledge of Ether
  
  CAT for synchronized motion execution.

• Expertise in controls engineering and robotics troubleshooting.

• Familiarity with Beckhoff systems.

• Understanding of IEC‑3 standard for programming.

• In‑depth knowledge of robotics systems and troubleshooting.

This is a Contract position based out of Seattle, WA.

The pay range for this position is $145000.00 - $166000.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Seattle, WA.

This position is anticipated to close on Dec 31, 2025.
