Job Summary
:
The Mechanical / Project Engineer is responsible for the mechanical design of pressure vessels and piping systems, as well as the planning and execution of industrial engineering projects. This role combines hands‑on mechanical engineering work with full lifecycle project engineering responsibilities, supporting projects ranging from small equipment orders to large, multi‑million‑dollar industrial facilities. The position ensures designs are safe, code‑compliant, operable, and commercially viable.
- Perform mechanical calculations and design for pressure vessels in accordance with applicable ASME codes
- Conduct piping stress analysis and maintain piping specifications to meet industry standards
- Support and maintain quality and compliance documentation related to mechanical codes and audits
- Manage projects from scope definition through execution, including budgeting, scheduling, resource planning, and coordination
- Oversee design development, procurement activities, fabrication, and shipment of equipment
- Coordinate with customers, contractors, inspectors, and internal teams to ensure clear communication and documentation
- Manage contracts and change orders, including cost and schedule impacts
- Ensure all designs and project activities comply with customer requirements, safety standards, and applicable codes
- Support a safe work environment and adhere to company safety policies
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Strong working knowledge of ASME pressure vessel and piping codes
- Experience with mechanical design, piping systems, and industrial equipment
- Proven ability to manage engineering projects, budgets, schedules, and contracts
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and documentation skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Project)
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work both independently and in team environments
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for project execution and customer support
