Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Flight Test Data Systems Services Lab Technician to join our dynamic Data System Services Lab (DSSL) team. You will maintain and repair Airborne Data System equipment and specialized test components used in Flight Test aircraft, and provide direct technical support to engineers developing computer and electronic test equipment.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain non‑calibrated test equipment and specialized components
- Plan and execute specific repairs, prepare preventative maintenance schedules, and conduct validation tests on assigned test systems
- Configure, validate, test, certify, and repair equipment to the component level
- Utilize general and specific‑purpose lab analyzing tools effectively
- Implement corrective actions to ensure equipment operates within company and industry standards
- Conduct failure causes and effect analysis of malfunctioning equipment and integrated systems by examining components, hardware, and systems
- Simulate causes and effects of failures, document corrective actions, and provide detailed reports to engineering for review
- Fabricate, rework, or modify test equipment wire bundles as necessary
- Assemble developmental data systems hardware on a bench or within a rack
- Support the development of technical test and validation procedures to meet government and industry standards, as well as company regulations and policies, by applying knowledge of electrical and electronic engineering principles
- Utilize and maintain spreadsheets, databases, and special‑purpose computing tools
- Collaborate with suppliers to order and receive parts
- Work under the guidance and direction of engineering staff
- 1+ years of experience in laboratory and/or test environment
- 1+ years of experience with hardware troubleshooting
- Experience with soldering
- 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Associate degree or higher, a technical certificate or degree, or 2 or more years of equivalent technical experience
- Ability to collaborate effectively with individuals from diverse technical backgrounds
- Strong and clear communication skills
- Capable of lifting up to 35 lbs
- Ability to read and comprehend technical work instructions, drawings and/or specifications
- Perform operational/production testing, troubleshooting and rework/repair of test hardware and systems
- Ability and willingness to learn new processes and skills
- Ability to work with hand tools in a lab/shop environment
- Use of meters, oscilloscopes, or other measurement equipment
- Strong soldering skills: certification preferred but not required
- Experience in various computing system architectures
- Experience with UNIX, Linux and Windows operating systems
- Experience maintaining Flight Test specific hardware

Pay & BenefitsCompetitive base pay and variable compensation. Summary pay ranges:
Associate level (Level 2): $54,400 – $73,600;
Mid‑level (Level 3): $64,600 – $87,400. Benefits include health, dental, vision, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, and paid/unpaid time off. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Applications accepted until January 2, 2026.
