Fives Lund LLC is actively seeking a full‑time Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team. For over 200 years we have designed and invented solutions that improve everyday life. • Maintain subject matter knowledge through additional training and experience in any of the following areas of Engineering, Methods and Technology:
  Materials & Mechanisms, Finite Element Analysis, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Welding & Joining, and other machine design topics.
• Utilize engineering and physics principals to design and develop industrial machinery.
• Use 3D CAD systems to generate mechanical designs, create assemblies, and produce drawings.
• Perform Finite Element Analysis using programs such as ANSYS.
• Use PDM and ERP systems to manage systems and schematics.
• Provide support and guidance to technicians during machine integration; may perform hands‑on assembly within the shop and at customer locations.
• Troubleshoot and debug industrial mechanical systems.
• Support management in the development of concepts and proposals, including performing concept feasibility analysis, project schedule input, and estimated cost input.
• Act as a mentor to Level I and Level II mechanical engineers in the execution of their tasks and technical topics to improve designs, drawings, and overall quality of work.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering (required).
• 7+ years of engineering experience (preferred).
• PE certification a plus.
• Experience in machinery design, structural analysis, hydraulics, pneumatics preferred.
• Experience with Solid Works a plus.
• Ability to identify potential problems and propose solutions to mitigate those problems.
• Ability to decompose and analyze complicated systems.
• Ability to develop designs based on stakeholder requirements within the provided schedule and budget.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Solid computer skills and experience.

The salary for this position ranges from $ – $ annually, depending upon qualifications.
