Anchor QEA is seeking a geotechnical engineer with 5 to 10+ years of experience to support existing clients and help expand our geotechnical, environmental, civil, and water resources engineering practices. The position offers an opportunity to expand leadership and mentorship responsibilities and apply your engineering experience to challenging technical problems. You will work directly with senior staff and perform technical work—including studies, design, and contractor management—for coastal and waterfront development projects, water resources restoration, slope stabilization, geotechnical issues, and construction oversight.

The role also includes growing project and task management duties and mentoring technical staff across the U.S. and Canada.

• Attend project meetings, develop scope of work documents, and prepare proposals for engineering projects.
• Perform and/or oversee technical analyses and calculations, develop recommendations, and prepare reports.
• Collaborate with specialists, subconsultants, and internal team members on geotechnical, remediation, and restoration services.
• Assist with development and review of design documents and supporting deliverables, including engineering drawings, calculations, technical specifications, and cost estimates.
• Perform task management, including team assignments, contractor management, budgeting, scheduling, and project completion.
• Develop and execute field investigation and laboratory testing plans at upland and in‑water project sites (travel/field work may be up to 20–30% of your time).
• Assist with construction planning, observation documentation, and oversight services.

• BS degree in Civil Engineering (MS preferred).
• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• PE licensure in Washington (or ability to obtain within 1 year).
• Project and task management experience with client interfacing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A willingness to manage multiple tasks, adhere to deadlines, and work in a client‑service oriented team environment.
• Detail‑oriented, highly organized, and capable of working independently and collaboratively.

• Salary Range: $97,756 – $117,000
• Annual bonus and additional potential bonuses including Billable Time, Spot, Milestone Anniversary, License/Certification, Peer‑review Publication, and Employee Referral bonuses.
