Job DescriptionThe position involves design of maritime infrastructure including container terminals, ports, harbors, and coastal defense facilities.
Job Responsibilities- Undertake design activities on maritime projects – container terminals, mining/bulk, oil/gas, marinas, ports and harbors, coastal DOD facilities, coastal defense, and development schemes.
- Perform civil design for terminals across the United States.
- Create designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings.
- Independently prepare engineering-related calculations and develop civil technical specifications, plans, and details.
- Use computer software as a tool for solving engineering problems.
- Perform work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule.
- Provide guidance to entry‑level engineers.
- Independently complete all primary design elements for engineering works.
Minimum Requirements
- BA/BS + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Professional Engineer Registration with the ability to attain Washington State PE registration within 6 months.
- Master’s Degree plus 5 years of related experience.
- Experience with computer-aided design (AutoCAD).
- Experience with ArcGIS.
- Preferred experience with Ports and Marine.
- Experience in the design of marine terminals, naval facilities, and port facilities.
- Enthusiastic, hard‑working, technically proficient, with ambition and drive.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Relocation is available.
$125,000 – $150,000 annually, based on education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
