Aerospace Applications Engineer - Electro-Mechanical Actuation Devices - Seattle Area - Contract
Our Client in the Seattle area is a leading provider of Innovative Motion Control Motors and other Electro-Mechanical Actuation Devices for the aerospace industry. They are currently seeking an Aerospace Applications Engineer for a contract position that is likely to last 6 months or longer.
JOB DESCRIPTION -
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 3+ years' experience experience with developing a product from concept to production the design, development, and manufacture of specialty fluid and motion control /motor products such as electro-mechanical actuation devices for demanding aerospace applications is preferred
- Some experience with FEA desired.
- Analysis and specification of electro-mechanical sensors.
- Develops manufacturing drawings in accordance with ISO Standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
- Confer with system engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.
- Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.
- Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent problem solving and time management skills
- Good mechanical aptitude and knowledge
- Knowledge of electronic equipment and computer hardware and software
- Self-motivated and highly organized
- Proficient in 3D CAD Solidworks modelling
