Overview

This role is part of Enterprise Technology (ET), where we’re developing the digital infrastructure needed to build the road to space, with an emphasis on digital capabilities required to advance Blue Origin’s mission. As a Senior Technical Product Manager, you will transform our manufacturing operations through improving our Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) suite. Your work will enhance manufacturing throughput, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous process improvement across our manufacturing ecosystem.

Responsibilities
  • Drive the development and execution of a visionary MES product roadmap aligned with Blue Origin’s strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to define and communicate the MES product vision, ensuring alignment with company-wide goals.
  • Manage a portfolio of MES products, features, and integrations; ship products at high velocity from concept to launch.
  • Ensure seamless integration of MES with Quality Management Systems (QMS), ERP, and PLM to maintain real-time data accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to customize and enhance MES functionality to meet evolving manufacturing needs.
  • Develop and maintain product documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and user manuals.
  • Develop and monitor MES OKRs and KPIs, analyze data to identify opportunities for process improvement and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide training and support to manufacturing teams on MES functionalities and best practices.
  • Act as liaison among manufacturing, quality assurance, and IT teams to resolve MES execution and data linkage issues.
  • Collaborate with operations and business leaders to gather insights, drive decisions, and improve product adoption.
  • Champion the adoption of cutting‑edge technologies such as Generative AI and agentic systems to enhance MES capabilities.
  • Ensure that all MES developments comply with aerospace industry standards (e.g., ISA‑95, AS9100) and relevant regulations.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in MES and manufacturing orchestration.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years as a software Product Manager, preferably in Manufacturing Execution Systems or supply chain in discrete manufacturing.
  • 2+ years of experience with MES functionalities: process authoring, scheduling, material movement, and integration with QMS, PLM, ERP (especially MRP).
  • 2+ years working in a manufacturing‑centric business with knowledge of fabrication, assembly, and quality inspection.
  • 2+ years of SQL development and data‑analysis skills for data‑driven decisions.
  • Excellent product management skills with a record of managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills for cross‑functional teamwork.
  • Experience with MES and manufacturing system customization is a plus.
  • Passion for process optimization with certifications such as Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Track record of launching innovative manufacturing and supply‑chain products from concept to market.
  • Deep understanding of integrating software solutions with shop‑floor systems in engineer‑to‑order environments.
  • Demonstrated leadership of cross‑functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and IT.
  • Experience with GenAI and agentic engines in a software development context.
  • Experience in aerospace or engineer‑to‑order environments with strict regulatory compliance.
