Cannonball’s On-Call Event Support team are the Swiss Army knives of the venue — flexible, reliable, and ready to jump in wherever they’re needed. One night you might be setting up stanchions and signage; the next, helping with artist load‑in, guest check‑in, or a late‑night strike. You’ll work side‑by‑side with our Event and Venue Operations teams to keep shows and events running smoothly.

From the producers of Bumbershoot, and in partnership with the Muckleshoot Indian Tribe, Cannonball Arts is a contemporary arts and entertainment center in the heart of downtown Seattle. Spanning two floors and 66,000 square feet, it offers boundary‑pushing, unconventional 2D and 3D art experiences and programming, event space, and a state‑of‑the‑art music venue.
Description On-Call Event SupportReports To: Guest Services Manager
Department: Venue Operations
Compensation: $22–$25/hour (DOE)
Classification: Part-Time, On-Call / Non-Exempt
Shifts: Generally 5–6 hours each; varies between days, nights, and weekends

About Cannonball ArtsCannonball Arts is a new multi‑use arts center and music venue in downtown Seattle dedicated to elevating, fortifying, exhibiting, and celebrating artists who call the Pacific Northwest home. The 66,000‑square‑foot campus houses galleries, installations, retail spaces, creative studios, and LVL1 — a 2,300‑capacity music venue. From sweaty club nights and art openings to private rentals and immersive storytelling experiences, Cannonball is where creativity, chaos, and community collide.
Position OverviewCannonball’s On-Call Event Support team are the Swiss Army knives of the venue — flexible, reliable, and ready to jump in wherever they’re needed. One night you might be setting up stanchions and signage; the next, helping with artist load‑in, guest check‑in, or a late‑night strike.
You’ll work side‑by‑side with our Event and Venue Operations teams to keep shows and events running smoothly. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in organized chaos, loves problem‑solving on the fly, and understands the nuances of live event production.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with event setup and strike — moving furniture, staging, signage, décor, and other event equipment.
- Support front‑of‑house operations including ticket scanning, line management, and guest assistance.
- Provide hands‑on support to the Event, Venue Operations, and Facilities Teams during events as directed.
- Monitor spaces for cleanliness, safety, and accessibility, reporting any issues to supervisors.
- Work collaboratively with staff, vendors, and artists to ensure smooth event flow.
- Communicate clearly via radio and in person; stay calm and solutions‑focused under pressure.
- Represent Cannonball Arts with professionalism, enthusiasm, and respect for our community and culture.
- Previous experience in live events, hospitality, venues, or production preferred.
- Strong communication skills and a team‑first mindset.
- Must be motivated, dependable, and able to follow directions.
- Understanding of event production flow and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stay on your feet for extended periods.
- Must be available to work nights, weekends, and some holidays.
- Passion for art, music, and creative spaces — and the stamina to keep up when the lights go down.
