Senior Tax Manager - Private Client Services

Overview

Join Andersen as a Senior Tax Manager in our Private Client Services practice. Work with sophisticated clients, including wealth families, family offices, and alternative investment funds.

• Manage client engagements with the support and collaboration of other Andersen professional and outside advisors to deliver excellent client service and meet deadlines.
• Assist in providing comprehensive tax planning for a variety of clients.
• Serve as one of two key contacts for the relevant clients.
• Conduct primary and secondary review of complex tax returns, including federal and state filings.
• Perform research and draft technical tax memoranda.
• Supervise, train, mentor, and evaluate interns, associates, and senior associates.
• Participate in local office and firm-wide initiatives.
• Receive formal PCS and on-the-job training in daily interactions with top tax leaders to learn about legislative changes, wealth transfer techniques, charitable giving strategies, buy/sell agreement planning, and more.
• Engage in business development activities, such as preparing proposals, presenting in webinars, and collaborating with other service lines to present a comprehensive tax strategy to prospective and current clients.

• 6+ years of relevant work experience in an accounting firm, with at least 5 years of Private Client experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field (preferred).
• Advanced credential allowing client representation before the Internal Revenue Service, such as CPA, JD, or EA (required).
• Project management experience demonstrating organization skills and ability to multi-task successfully.
• Broad technical knowledge of Private Client related tax issues.
• Strong critical thinking skills and problem-solving ability.
• Strong research, writing, and verbal communication skills.
• Proven high integrity and care to do the right thing.
• Self-starter with initiative to seek out opportunities and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient use of technology.

Salary Range:
For individuals hired to work in Seattle, Washington, the expected base salary range for this role is $134,500 to $218,900.

Employees and their families are eligible for medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance coverage. Employees may enroll in the firm’s 401(k) plan upon hire. We offer 160 hours of paid time off annually, along with twelve paid holidays each calendar year.
