Share Builder 401k is looking for a Trust Principal to oversee custody procedures for the newly formed Share Builder Trust – a custodian supporting new products in the 401K and IRA marketplace. The role of Trust Principal will also be responsible for developing processes for safekeeping client assets, drafting/implementing/complying with operating procedures and monitoring vendors/partners.
Your Daily AdventuresYour typical day will include an array of operational duties and oversight functions related to safekeeping client assets, working transactional exceptions, audit reporting, and collaborating with service and technical teams. Other key responsibilities will include:
- Facilitate custodial activities across the full lifecycle of accounts under administration from onboarding through termination.
- Oversee client trading and money movement.
- Research and repair reconciliation breaks with clearing firm and banking partner.
- Perform client account reviews to ensure compliance and consistency.
- Stay current with all applicable laws & trust regulations impacting Share Builder Trust services and products.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Perform and document KYC & AML reviews.
- Collaborate with senior leaders to ensure adherence with all company policies.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, coworkers and regulators through proactive engagement.
- Prepare materials for and participate in committee meetings.

Qualifications for a Great MatchRequired Qualifications
- 5+ years in trust administration, custody operations, or retirement-plan fiduciary services (RIAs, trust companies, or recordkeeping/custody platforms).
- Demonstrated command of trust company operations.
- Demonstrated commitment to achieving operational excellence, both individually and within a team.
- Strong grasp of trust company regulatory environment and comfortable engaging with banking regulators.
- Clear, concise communicator with disciplined documentation habits.
- Demonstrated problem solving, organizational, and time management skills.
- Collaborative in working with diverse teams and shifting priorities.
- Strong attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- CFIRS, CTFA, CRPP, QKA or comparable credential(s).
- Prior experience under WA and/or SD Division of Banking trust company supervision.
- Prior experience with retirement plan and/or IRA operations.
Occasional travel may be required.
Salary Range: $80-$110K (depending on experience)
