Financial Manager - F&I

Swickard Auto Group is seeking a Finance Manager to play a critical role in dealership profitability by securing customer financing, structuring deals, and presenting a variety of financial and insurance products.

• Meet with customers after vehicle selection to discuss financing options.
• Assess customer creditworthiness and pre‑qualify them for loan options from various lenders.
• Negotiate loan terms and interest rates with lenders on behalf of the customer.
• Secure financing approval and finalize loan documents, ensuring all documentation is accurate and compliant with regulations.
• Present and explain various financial and insurance products (extended warranties, gap insurance, service contracts, etc.) and tailor recommendations to customer needs and budget.
• Overcome objections and effectively close F&I deals, maintaining a deep understanding of all offered products.
• Structure financing deals that meet customer needs while maximizing dealership profit; utilize tools and techniques within legal and ethical boundaries.
• Track sales performance and identify opportunities to improve F&I penetration.
• Provide exceptional customer service throughout the financing process, building trust and rapport with customers.
• Ensure all financing and sales practices comply with federal and state regulations (e.g., Truth in Lending Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act) and stay informed of regulatory updates.
• Train and mentor sales staff on F&I products and processes; maintain strong relationships with lenders and insurance providers.
• Assist with monthly and quarterly sales reports and financial analysis as needed.

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in automotive finance or a related field (e.g., banking, lending).
• Strong understanding of automotive financing principles and loan options.
• Excellent sales and negotiation skills; proven ability to close deals and meet sales targets.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in computer skills and dealership management software (DMS).
• Ability to multi‑task and manage time effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
• A valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Knowledge of F&I regulations and compliance is a plus.
