Banker – Sound Credit Union
Sound Credit Union is currently seeking a Banker / Universal Associate II to join the team at our Burien Branch
. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others, enjoys problem‑solving and building customer relationships, and is looking for a workplace that offers opportunities for professional development.
$22.50 per hour – $27.50 per hour
$1,500 Sign‑On Bonus! $500 of the bonus will be paid with your first paycheck and $1,000 will be paid on the check following your 6‑month anniversary.
Compensation & IncentivesOur pay ranges allow for candidates with various levels of skill and experience to be considered while providing room for growth. The target salary range for this position is $22.50 – $25.00 depending on previous experience and education, with a full range of $22.50 – $27.50.
As a branch employee you will be eligible for incentives tied to certain products and services, paid out quarterly. These incentives are designed to reward team members who meet and surpass production goals set by Credit Union management.

- Perform routine financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, cash advances, loan payments, transfers, check cashing, etc.
- Open new consumer accounts such as savings, checking, money market, certificates of deposit, minor accounts, Individual Retirement Accounts (IRA’s), Health Savings Accounts, and more.
- Accept, review, and process consumer loans.
- At least one year of experience as a teller or equivalent customer‑facing banking experience.
- Experience in opening new accounts and loans required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be bondable.
- Employer sponsorship for employment authorization is not available.
This position requires an in‑person schedule. Typical shifts are Monday‑Friday 8:45 AM – 5:15 PM or 9:15 AM – 5:45 PM, with rotating Saturdays 8:45 AM – 1:15 PM and a day off during the week.
