Description
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Finance Manager to be a key member of the AWS GenAI team. This role will own end-to-end finance support including Cap Ex management and planning for Generative AI services, drive strategic new Generative AI feature launches and process improvements, and manage multiple time‑sensitive deliverables across a highly matrixed organization. The successful candidate will communicate effectively, manage risks and opportunities, and possess strong business partnership skills and collaborate with key stakeholders.
Key Job Responsibilities- Take the lead in financial planning; build complex financial models and analytical tools to measure overall financial performance.
- Own GenAI services end-to-end and influence business decisions that drive revenue and/or capital expenditures.
- Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements, including automation, and coordinate with upstream and downstream organizations.
- Partner with finance teams across AWS to standardize, streamline, and prioritize improvements, remove roadblocks, and increase reliability and efficiency of reporting.
- 5+ years of tax, finance, or a related analytical field experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science) or a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of quantitative role experience.
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL.
- MBA or CPA.
- 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analysis experience.
- 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience.
- 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision‑making experience.
- 6+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience.
- 5+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience.
- 5+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits).
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results.

Compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
