Senior Financial Analyst, AWS Service FP&A

The AWS Services FP&A team is looking for a seasoned Senior Finance Analyst to be part of a critical, high‑growth area of the business. The person in the role will own the processes, analytics, and generate business insights for Services' financial performance. The role requires a self‑starter who can exhibit thought leadership, develop processes, communicate with senior executives, and collaborate across teams.

In addition to traditional functional Finance skills, this role requires the ability to lead cross‑functional teams and exercise influence to coordinate key planning work streams and projects. This role gives the opportunity to develop a good business understanding of the key AWS services planning and reporting processes.

• Leading the planning cycles for a multi‑billion dollar business.
• Deep‑diving variances vs. plan to understand changes and uncover opportunities for efficiency improvement.
• Leading cross‑functional projects involving finance and tech teams.
• Setting up processes and automating reporting.

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science).
• 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience.

• Experience working with large‑scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
• 4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience.
• 4+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision‑making experience.
• 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience.
• 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience.
• 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
