The opportunity

seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to drive the financial strategy for building Amazon Ads' core AI infrastructure that would be the base for all agentic models within Amazon Ads . We are looking for a highly motivated individual to provide financial partnership towards driving growth of the existing business as well as development of new products and strategies.

The role

As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will closely work with business and finance leaders to develop financial models for both short and long term business and financial goals, evaluate new business opportunities, and drive business initiatives for projects with strategic significance and high exposure.  Additional responsibilities include weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting of financial performance and ad-hoc business analysis support. This role requires a self-starter and independent individual with strong financial modeling abilities, problem solving skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ambiguous situations.

The successful candidate will have shown experiences in past roles influencing business owners and supporting decision-making in rapidly evolving environments. This is a high visibility role, working across multiple teams in Amazon. The individual will have regular interaction with executives and various business units across Amazon, and therefore requires strong interpersonal and communication skills. In addition, this role requires strong business sense and capability to independently drive business partnership.

A day in the life

Primary Responsibilities

- Assist in the development of advertising products by evaluating the product, understanding customer needs and value drivers, and crafting high impact growth strategies for the business

- Partner with product team to anticipate business requirements, trends, and variances; develop action plans; measure and analyze results; identify and drive growth and improvement opportunities.

- Manage financial and operational performance metrics for your business e.g. Weekly Business Reviews

- Uphold and enforce an environment of ethical practices and strong financial controllership

Basic Qualifications

- 2+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

- Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications

- 3+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

- 3+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
