Commercial Relationship Manager / Senior Commercial Banker

A well-established commercial banking organization in the Seattle market is selectively adding an experienced Commercial Relationship Manager as part of an important succession and growth initiative.
This is not an empty-desk opportunity.
The incoming banker will assume responsibility for a meaningful existing commercial portfolio while also being expected to develop new relationships, expand deposits and fee income, and help the organization achieve significant growth objectives.
The opportunity is particularly well suited for an experienced commercial banker who enjoys building relationships but also wants to work in an environment where experienced bankers can make decisions, collaborate closely with credit partners, and execute effectively for clients.

- Develop new commercial clients through direct calling, referrals, centers of influence, and existing market relationships.
- Generate commercial loans, deposits, fee income, and additional banking relationships.
- Structure and evaluate commercial credit opportunities.
- Work closely with portfolio management and credit partners throughout underwriting and approval.
- Present and defend credit recommendations through the appropriate approval process.
- Monitor portfolio credit quality, covenant compliance, and overall risk.
- Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships across appropriate banking services.
- Maintain a high level of responsiveness and client satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships throughout the Seattle-area business community.
- Mentor developing bankers when appropriate.
- Contribute to the organization's broader commercial growth objectives.
- Approximately 10–15+ years of relevant commercial banking experience preferred, with consideration given to exceptional rising performers.
- Demonstrated experience managing a meaningful commercial loan portfolio.
- Strong commercial credit foundation and understanding of underwriting and loan structuring.
- Ability to confidently discuss and defend credit decisions.
- Proven business-development capabilities.
- Established relationships within the Seattle or Eastside business community preferred.
- Track record of independently sourcing commercial relationships.
- Strong understanding of portfolio management and credit risk.
- Excellent executive presence and communication skills.
- Collaborative, accountable, growth-oriented working style.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, banking, or a related discipline preferred; equivalent experience considered.
Candidates do not necessarily need to bring a fully portable portfolio because the position includes meaningful existing relationships.
Preference will be given, however, to bankers who have an established commercial network and can identify realistic opportunities to develop new relationships after joining.
Relevant experience should include sophisticated commercial lending rather than primarily branch-driven or small-business transactions.
Candidates should be comfortable generating business independently and working across loans, deposits, treasury relationships, and fee-generating opportunities.
