This full-time on-site Makeup Artist role is based in Seattle, WA. The Makeup Artist will provide personalized makeup consultations, applications, and lessons to clients, showcasing Trish McEvoy Beauty products and techniques. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing client needs, creating customized looks, and educating clients on product usage, skincare basics, and efficient beauty routines. The role involves maintaining a clean and organized workstation, supporting in-store events, collaborating with team members, and contributing to sales by recommending products that meet client goals.
The Makeup Artist will also assist with product demonstrations, help train team members on application techniques, and ensure an exceptional client experience aligned with the brand's teaching-first philosophy.
- Professional makeup artistry and cosmetology skills, with knowledge of skin types, face shapes, and product compatibility.
- Experience in hair styling to complement makeup looks when needed.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to build trusting client relationships.
- Sales and product recommendation skills, including comfort with meeting sales goals and tracking performance.
- Training and coaching abilities to teach clients and support team members in makeup techniques and product knowledge.
- Excellent communication skills and a clear, engaging teaching style.
- Ability to work on-site, maintain a professional appearance, and stand for extended periods during appointments and events.
- Previous experience in retail beauty, spa, or salon environments is preferred.
- Relevant certification or license in cosmetology or makeup artistry is beneficial, depending on local requirements.
