Hello, Cascades at Saint Anne in Seattle, WA is actively looking to hire a part-time Activities Assistant (16 hours per week) with the ability to work at least one weekend day.

Job Description:

The Activities Assistant assists the Activities execute activity plans that benefit the physical, mental, and psychosocial wellbeing of each skilled nursing resident:

• Seeks and identifies ways to support residents' activity needs and preferences, routines, and choices
• Under the direction of the Activities Director, independently carries out individual and group activities that meet the functional levels, needs and interests of each resident
• Adapts activities to match the cognitive and physical functional levels of the residents using task segmentation, verbal prompts, set-up assistance, physical assists, and demonstrations
• Maintains/cleans activity equipment and supplies. Maintains activity space in a clean, orderly manner.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma
• Reliable transportation to/from work
• Prior Activity experience in a long-term care setting is preferred, or experience planning and leading activities or events - whether professionally or through volunteer work.
• Must be able to work one or both weekend days on a consistent schedule.
• Ability to think quickly, adapt to changes, and creatively develop alternative activities as needed.
• Work independently while staying organized and self-motivated.
• Love for the geriatric population!

Pay Range: $20.76 to $24.00

• Pay is based on the number of years of direct experience as an Activity Assistant, specifically in a skilled nursing & rehab (SNF) or assisted living (ALF) setting.
