Pharmacy Technician – Outpatient

University of Washington – UW Medical Center – Montlake Outpatient Pharmacy

$4,000 Sign‑On Bonus for eligible new part‑time and full‑time employees joining UW Medicine.

WORK SCHEDULE

Full‑Time, 40 hours per week, Day Shift.

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

  • All activities performed under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform certified order entry of medication orders into the ambulatory pharmacy computer system.
  • Fill prescriptions and assist patients with new prescriptions and refills.
  • Assist in preparation of compound pharmaceuticals under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.

The position requires organizational skills, strong communication, competence in computer entry of prescriptions and charge/credit data, and ability to perform bulk compounding from a formula under pharmacist supervision.

Required Position Qualifications

Six months of experience as a Pharmacy Assistant or equivalent education/experience.

Legal Requirement

State of Washington Pharmacy Technician certification.

Condition of Employment

UW Medicine requires a drug‑free workplace and a pre‑employment drug screen.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay Range: $61,752.00–$91,104.00 annually.

Other Compensation: $4,000 Sign‑On Bonus
