About the PositionWe are looking for a Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (VASH) Case Manager to join our team on-site in Seattle, Washington. The VASH Case Manager will ensure compliance with VA service providers and the HUD‑VASH program, assist veterans in obtaining necessary documentation (birth certificates, driver’s license, income verification, etc.), coordinate with the local Public Housing Authority, identify landlords with Section 8 eligible housing, assist with apartment applications and moving arrangements, and provide knowledge of Washington landlord‑tenant laws.
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 am — 5:00 pm (Full Time, Day)
$6,000–$7,250 per month DOE/Credentials. Additional 5% language differential offered for bilingual or multilingual candidates.
About the ProgramVASH works directly with veterans by assisting them in navigating complex systems (rental applications, HUD subsidy applications, benefits systems, public transportation, etc.), providing supportive assistance, helping maintain residence, and teaching skills for stable housing and independence. Columbia Care Services is a qualifying employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program.
What You’ll NeedCandidates MUST have the following:
- Master’s degree in Human Services, Social Work or related field
Additional qualifications are PREFERRED:
- Knowledge of community resources and familiarity with HUD vouchering and rental assistance systems
- Experience working with individuals who have or are experiencing homelessness and/or the public housing authority
- Preference will be given to Veterans
- VA approved degrees and/or Licenses:
Master of Social Work (MSW), Masters in counseling, Masters in psychology, LCSW, LASW, LMFT, LMHC, OR other equivalent independent mental‑health license - Case Manager must be master’s level clinicians and licensed to practice independently, or actively working toward master’s level licensure as verified via the Washington State Department of Health
The selected candidates will be required to complete the VA’s VASH orientation and training, have the ability to travel (mostly within King County), and be BLS certified. Driving is an essential function; applicants must provide a valid driver’s license and maintain a safe driving record. A background check through the VA is required.
Physical requirements:
ability to frequently talk, listen, use hands and fingers, reach, stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, climb stairs, lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40‐pounds; may require occasional use of ladders, squat/kneel, and other tasks. Must complete crisis de‐escalation and CPR trainings.
