UW Medical Center-Montlake Pharmacy Department has an outstanding opportunity for a Staff Pharmacist – Inpatient (Pharmacist
2).
- Full‑Time / 40 hours per week
- Evening shifts
- Be responsible for performing and supervising the dispensing functions in the Inpatient, IV Admixture, and Satellite Pharmacies
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct a thorough patient profile review to assess the appropriateness of the prescribed medication including monitoring for drug duplications, interactions, allergies, appropriate dose, strength, and route of administration at the time each order is received; document relevant information in medical record as required.
- Promote rational, cost‑effective drug therapy by promoting the use of formulary items and optimizing patient care through appropriate selection of treatment options.
- Direct pharmacy technicians in all areas of technical responsibilities.
- Provide drug information to patients, physicians, nurses, and other members of the health‑care team.
One year of experience in pharmacy practice or completion of an American Society of Health Systems Pharmacists accredited residency training program.

Compensation, Benefits and Position DetailsPay Range Minimum: $ annual
Pay Range Maximum: $ annual
Other Compensation: Night Shift Premium – $8.00/hour;
Evening Shift Premium – $1.75/hour;
Weekend Shift Premium – $1.50/hour
