IMMEDIATE NEED: LIVE IN CAREGIVER NEEDED FOR CLIENT IN SEATTLE AREA. SHIFT RUNS FROM 8AM SUNDAY MORNING THRU 8AM TUESDAY MORNING. 2 DAY LIVE IN. Must have great communication skills and be highly skilled in Dementia care.

Job Summary: Our Caregiver role is a crucial position for those who rely on others for basic daily care. Duties include such things as: helping with ADLs, meal prep, light housekeeping, help with bathing or showering, help with toileting or brief changes, laundry, medication reminders and light pet care.
Client specifics: Military vet, with Parkinson's. High fall risk, uses walker and wheelchair. Some swallowing issues requires food to be cut into bite size pieces and high monitoring at meals.

- Compensation: $350/ day for Live Ins
Caregiver Responsibilities may include:
- Help clients take prescribed medication
- Assist clients with ambulation and mobility aroundthe house or outside (doctor’s appointments,walks etc.)
- Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
- Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises
- Do the client’s shopping or accompany them whenthey shop if needed
- Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’tcomplete on their own, including preparing meals
- Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors and family members
- Report any unusual incidents to nurses, doctors andfamily members
- Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
Caregiver Requirements:
- Must be 18 years or older
- Previous caregiver experience preferred but not required
- HCA or CNA certificate required or proof of current enrollment in anHCA or CNA training program
- Applicant must be positioned and willing to obtain
HCA/ CNA license within 200 days of hire - Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
- Current CPR (American Heart Association) Certification a plus
- Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
- Must be respectful and compassionate with a good bedside manner
- Outstanding communication, time management and interpersonal skills
- Physical endurance to complete required tasks
- Must be willing to undergo a DHSH background check and fingerprinting as part of the hiring process
