Pay Status: $23 - $30 per hour DOE & education
Job Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
- Experience in Applied Behavior Analysis: 1 year (Preferred but not required)
- Certified Behavioral Health Technician (Preferred but not required)
- Clear background check and fingerprints via state and national checks
- Ability to lift 30 lbs or more
- Reliable transportation

The Certified Behavior Technician is an integral part of the consistency and quality of the APL team. As a Behavioral Technician in an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) school, you will work with students with autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities, aiding in developing essential life skills and learning replacement strategies for challenging behaviors. You will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and implement treatment plans that are tailored to the unique needs of each student.
Your primary responsibility will be to implement these plans and collect data on student progress, as well as communicate regularly with teachers, your supervisor and other members of the student's care team.
- Work individually or in small group with students who require support, in alignment with role as behavior technician
- Teach cognitive, social-emotional, behavioral, and adaptive skills to children with autism spectrum disorder or other developmental disabilities under the guidance of the BCBA
- Implement behavior reduction plans as directed by the BCBA
- Adhere to policies and procedures as stated in Employee Manual
- Exhibit professionalism and embody positive attitudes and actions
- Accept direction and positively respond to constructive feedback
- Be flexible and adaptive to change and last-minute updates
- Support the learning of other team members
- Complete all notes, paperwork and administrative responsibilities in a timely manner

- Attend team meetings and trainings as required
