Position Summary

The Night Auditor at Oxford’s luxury or boutique-style hotels oversees overnight front desk operations, balances financial transactions, maintains security, and delivers outstanding guest service. The role ensures accuracy of hotel revenue records and supports a seamless experience for guests arriving, departing, or requiring assistance during the overnight hours, striving to meet Four-Star service standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Administration (60%)
  • Verify and post charges to guest accounts, ensure correct rates and departments.
  • Complete and distribute reports generated by Room Key.
  • Post direct billings to the general ledger and handle meeting room charges.
  • Perform system backups, assign wake‑up calls, and run audit reports.
  • Accurately count and manage bank transactions, balance all revenue nightly.
  • Maintain awareness of room inventory and enforce hotel policies on guest behavior.
  • Handle computer problems, make corrections, adjust accounts, and maintain files.
  • Manage valet, transportation, and VIP arrival arrangements.
  • Enter maintenance issues and requests into the tracking system.
  • Report maintenance repairs and emergency situations to management.
Guest Services (30%)
  • Welcome guests with a polished demeanor and smooth check‑in/out.
  • Provide detailed information about the hotel, amenities, and local recommendations.
  • Process reservations, payments, and special requests accurately.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for overnight inquiries and concerns, offering Four‑Diamond service.
  • Register guests, verify registration details, manage key control.
  • Handle cash and credit card transactions; process accounts upon checkout.
  • Respond to complaints, requests, and concerns professionally.
  • Answer telephone with positive and clear communication.
  • Maintain high standards of appearance, uniform, and nametag.
  • Stay available to guests throughout the shift.
Other (10%)
  • Complete a daily activity log for co‑workers and leadership.
  • Adhere to attendance policies and maintain regular availability for shifts.
  • Assist with driver program or other hotel duties as assigned.

Preferred Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience in customer service or hospitality (beneficial).

  • Reliable transportation.
  • Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
Physical Requirements
  • Stand on feet throughout shift.
  • Perform fine manipulation and repetitive hand/arm movements.
  • Bend, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, and walk on uneven surfaces occasionally.
  • Walk outside in various weather conditions.
  • Climb stairs, lift up to 20 lbs. and occasionally 50 lbs.
