Catering Sales Manager at Seattle Tennis Club
The Seattle Tennis Club, located in Madison Park on Lake Washington, offers a unique club experience with 19 tennis courts, a gymnasium, massage room, pool, and more. The venue hosts the Washington State Open annually and operates seasonally from June to October.
Responsibilities- Event Planning and Coordination
- Ensure BEO has all event details and gathered by the Catering & Events Sales Manager.
- Assist in planning and organizing event timelines, including setup, service, and breakdown.
- Coordinate with culinary, service staff, audio‑visual, and facilities for smooth execution; participate in weekly BEO meetings.
- Staff Management
- Recruit, hire, train, and supervise banquet staff, including servers, bartenders, and event setup personnel.
- Schedule staff shifts and assign duties for each event, ensuring adequate coverage.
- Conduct bi‑annual staff meetings for training and performance communication.
- Banquet Operations Management
- Oversee banquet setup, table arrangement, décor, and audio‑visual requirements.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and club policies.
- Monitor quality of food, beverages, and service; make adjustments to maintain high standards.
- Address guest concerns or special requests promptly.
- Maintain monthly inventory of supplies, equipment, and decorations.
- Monitor and control expenses, including labor costs and supplies.
- Ensure accurate billing and payment collection for banquet services.
- Customer Service & Relationship Management
- Provide exceptional customer service to members, event hosts, and guests.
- Build and maintain strong relationships, anticipating needs and preferences.
- Event Marketing and Sales Support
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to promote banquet services.
- Participate in site visits, showcase facilities, and attend industry events.
- Provide input on menu development and pricing strategies.
